The whole production process requires caution, a well-trained eye for detail, and a wealth of experience. The properties of individual bark sheets vary significantly even within the same harvest. This is due to, amongst other things, the location of the tree, its growing conditions, and its age.
This is why it is important to keep an eye on, and react appropriately to, such factors as humidity, laminar structure, and overgrowth at every stage of production. This is the only way to ensure that we deliver products of the highest quality.
Achieving this with a highly-automated production process would not be possible.
